Description:
Staff Matters is seeking to fill a Web Designer position. Our Company focuses on new technologies and innovation, and provides opportunity for growth and a competitive salary/benefits package.

We are looking for a solid front-end designer to concept, design and build custom sites and content for our market leading clients. Not only will you have a have passion for design, but a real understanding of usability and modern coding practices. The position will work closely with project teams (both business and technical) and directly with our clientele in order to define requirements, produce effective interface/interaction designs and site usability.

You will be required to provide your online portfolio to be considered for this role.

Requirements of the position include:

SKILLS:
Proficient in coding and debugging HTML/XHMTL, CSS
Experience with publishing/imaging applications and user interface development tools (like Adobe Photoshop).
Some experience with JavaScript, preferably experience with 3rd party JavaScript libraries (JQuery preferred).
Familiar with cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility issues.
Knowledge of accessibility issues and SEC 508 compliance.
Strong understanding of web development, web page layout, information architecture, user interaction/interface design, and usability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designing, implementing and maintenance of customer sites.
Designing and implementing custom content within the healthcare web application.
Developing corporate internet site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Creates design prototypes, graphic design, content layout.
Offers design and technical creativity and flexibility to team in order to achieve objectives.
Organizes and completes projects and tasks on time, according to prioritization.
Works independently and in collaboration with production and development teams.
Adheres to and enhances design, coding and quality assurance standards.

JOB COMPLEXITY:
Works on and resolves problems of moderate scope. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Interacts with senior team personnel.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2-3 years related experience.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Human Factors, Graphic Design or related field or significant industry experience is required. Certification in applicable technology is desirable.

TRAVEL;
Minimum to no travel involved.

Compensation 52K-66K Annually.
