Canyon Ranch is seeking an experienced digital marketing professional to assist in the development, management and implementation of interactive marketing strategies, including organic and paid SEO, email and social media. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about social media in everyday life, but also understands how to use it strategically and measure results. This position also requires strong knowledge of digital metrics, and the person who fills this position will lead the effort to revamp and optimize interactive marketing reports. Candidates with agency and hospitality experience, knowledge of Omniture, and a fundamental understanding of user experience (UX) principles are preferred.

2. Responsibilities
Strategy & Tactical
- Work with Director of Interactive Marketing to strategically implement online distribution and marketing strategies for Canyon Ranch brand and individual properties.
- Assist in guiding marketing staff and partners in the use of best practices for website development and optimization.
- Assist in identifying and implementing strategies for organic SEO and paid search
- Lead metrics gathering and integration into standard Web reports.
- Facilitate strategic implementation of social media strategies.
- Manage enhancement of email creatives and tracking of email campaigns.
- Assist in CRM task flow creation and evaluating possible solutions.
- Keep abreast of new developments in online advertising tactics, and make recommendations.
- Facilitate implementation of projects involving third-party Internet marketing firms, including developers, SEO and paid search.
- Research and identify new Internet distribution, technology and marketing opportunities and develop action plans as appropriate for their utilization to ensure CRs e-marketing efforts are cutting-edge, including mobile marketing and synergy with CR social media presence
Interface & Management
- Work closely with marketing team, including account executives, design/production team, and social media coordinator to ensure seamless integration of online and offline marketing efforts.
- Liaise regularly with staff in Sales and Public Relations to align strategies across key areas of Sales & Marketing.
- Supervise the day-to-day interaction with third party web development and Internet marketing firms as well as individual properties to ensure goals are met and strategies are on target.
- Work with DOSMs at property level re online distribution and e-marketing activities and opportunities, via ongoing dialogue and regular status calls.
- Work with reservations, program advising, IT and properties to optimize user experience and data capture for email marketing purposes
Analytics & Reporting
- Optimize metrics to provide measurable results pertaining to strategic goals.
- Streamline website and social media reports and data gathering to provide a better “at-a-glance” picture of the overall status of interactive marketing efforts with less time required to generate reports.
- Manage the restructuring and refinement of existing Web metrics.
- Analyze Web metrics and make strategic recommendations.
- Manage Google Analytics and Omniture tool configurations, users, and reports.
- Manage and report results of A/B testing for interactive marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and recommend new tools.
3. Qualifications
- Work experience of at least 5-7 years in online marketing, ideally with a blend of hospitality sector (resorts or spa resorts a plus) and tech industry.
- Vendor agency management experience preferred.
- Solid strategic experience with website development and SEO, digital marketing, ecommerce, email marketing, organic, paid search marketing and user research/analytics.
- Passionate social media user with solid experience in strategic deployment of social media initiatives.
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) and usability principles preferred.
- Tucson-based preferred.
- Comprehensive know-how and up-to-the-minute expertise in both marketing and interactive technology to be able to create and implement a powerful combination of the two.
- Strong familiarity with analytics software (Omniture familiarity preferred), including experience with synthesizing data into strategic decisions.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to help educate marketing staff in online best practices.
