Data Serialization during migration problem (2 posts)

    Anyone had the problem of the all their widget data disappearing due to data serialization when migrating your website from on directory (ie, a staging/testing directory to the root or “live” directory). It is the first time this happens to me and can’t quite understand why it’s happening. If I have cforms installed, it gets corrupted and I have to re-activate. Text plugins just get wiped out.

    Anyone? Thanks!

    I know this a late and I hope you have already found your solution. Not sure it is data serialization but cforms is a particular bugger. I’ve found that using the plugin search and replace will fix a lot of broken reference when migrating from a dev to production site.
