  1. I’ll be there. Glad to see that the August WP meetup went smoothly. :)

Anyone going to give a quick 5 minute presentation? Here are the ideas from June.

    - How to develop a theme: A-Z, learning all the files (based on ThemeShaper tutorial)
    - Writing with WordPress: Britt
    - Plugin development basics
    - Common tasks and how to solve them: calendars and events, migration of old sites to the latest WordPress version
    - Commercialization of WP (plugins, developers, bloggers…)
    - Top 10 things you should know about WordPress
    - Compare photo gallery themes/plugins
    - Search Engine Optimization
    - Best practices in development and design
    - BuddyPress review of capabilities

  2. Darnit! I’ll be out of town again : ( I see the next one for October is already scheduled. See you then…

  3. I’m looking forward to this meetup and will be doing a quick presentation on “Solving common tasks”. I’ll probably focus on Calendar & Events.

  4. I updated the post with links to the news and services I mentioned last night.
