I’m interested in attending the meeting on the 17 to meet with like minds. Is registration necessary for the group?
No Registration necessary. Our meetings are open to all and we’ll be adding details to this post shortly.
Hello. I will be attending the next meeting and noticed that it said to bring a snack/drink of choice. I make a mean carrot cake and would like to bring that for the group. About how many people attend these meetings?
Thanks.
Carrot Cake, YUM! We’ll most likely have 10-20 people at this event. Please don’t feel like you need to bring enough for everyone though.
yes, you only need to bring enough for ME!
yay drupal!
This was an awesome event. All the people were nice to hang out with and it was great to learn about what other people are doing around town. And learning more about Drupal was valuable.
After watching the (informative but slow) Understanding Drupal video this past Wednesday we decided it would be good to work together and learn more about Drupal as a Content Management System. I propose that we take on rebuilding the TDAC website using Drupal, integrating useful features such as member pages, calendar, polls, profiles, job list, etc… Ideally this should be a project involving people with a variety of skill sets (illustrators to programmers) which will help us learn from each other and come away with a better understanding of what is possible.
If you are interested in being part of this learning project please leave a comment and you’ll be added to the list. I’m hoping to have the first gathering next Wednesday evening (October 1st) and expect this project will last 5-6 weeks. The design/code/everything will be completely open-source and will be “owned” by everyone working on it.
We’ll be having our first meeting next Monday, October 6th, at 6pm. During this meeting we will install Drupal and go over desired features and design intentions for the new TucsonDigitalArts.com website.
I’m expecting this meeting to last about an hour.
